SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT

  Burks Supportive Living will offer Supported Employment Individual Employment Supports. These services are provided to a person who, because of his or her disabilities, needs support to obtain, maintain and/or advance in competitive integrated employment, including customized or self-employment, for which the individual is compensated at or above minimum wage. 

Supported Employment services consist of ongoing supports designed to assist individuals for whom it is unlikely that competitive employment at or above the minimum wage will occur without support, and who, because of their disabilities, need supports to perform in a regular work setting. Individuals receive job supervision, adapting equipment, adapting behaviors, transportation assistance, peer support, and personal care assistance.
